Awesome place for the kids and a great day hike loop through the dunes too. Good backpacking location too.

Beautiful hike through forest and dunes, and just another half mile to the ocean. The lake is a great place to cool off and go for a swim. The are several dispersed camping sites for an easy backpacking trip. Keep in mind the ocean beach is closed to dogs all summer for endangered bird nesting sites.

Very peaceful lake. Only ran into a few people while I was there. You have to jump down and climb up a steep sand hill, but totally worth it and your glutes will thank you

A real family treasure for us. Each year we spend a long weekend here and we get solitude and happily worn out kids.
