We had to stop as we were driving by. It's one of the most beautiful lakes I have seen. I can only imagine being able to spend the day on a boat and fish on this lake. There were quite a few people swimming. They looked like they were having a blast. The water and the surrounding views made it look so serene. The only negative was the public restrooms. They were not in the best shape. They needed a good cleaning. I would stay away from the restrooms. If the restrooms were clean, this would get five stars.

The views are beautiful. Lots of fish and crawdads. We caught small bluegills and bass. It can get crowded. People swim in the coves, too. I had some people swim out right beside my bober while I was fishing off the dock.

We ended up here by mistake, and fell in love with this place . Our van got sideswiped by a truck on our way to Yellowstone and this was the nearest place to overland while we got our rear view mirror in the mail. We stayed a whole 9 days and it was magical . The water was clean the fishing was amazing and the sunsets were out of this world. We found free camping and since it was off season there wasn't many people. Beautiful!!!

Just stopped to sight see and use the facilities on our way to Mt Rushmore. Nice picturesque lake surrounded by the Blackhills. Would like to boat and fish here...maybe next trip.
