- ★★★★★about 3 years agoThis is a really nice hike of moderate difficulty in the Franconia notch region in New Hampshire. The view of the lake is gorgeous once we get inside the valley. It could take about 2-3 hours to do the entire hike and return.
- ★★★★★over 5 years agoAn easy hike up from the Lafayette place campground takes you to Lonesome lake. The trail is a little tricky to navigate at a couple of spots but other than that it’s easy. Coming back from the lake to the parking spot is easier than going up. You definitely need a bug repellent spray or be ready for an itch filled hike up. The pond area was filled with a lot of people taking a swim. The water was very cold even on a hot day.
