- ★★★★★over 6 years agoBeautiful and quiet place to paddle! There are even a few spots where, if you have a pontoon boat, you can take-off and boat camp for the night. Probably around 28 miles of shoreline to explore by kayak. Pontoon boats would not be able to explore the shallows, obviously, but at 10 hp max, there would be plenty to explore and fish on this family friendly lake. There are marinas at the South and North forks of this horseshoe shaped reservoir.
- ★★★★★over 8 years agoThis is my favorite place, my happy space. Between boating, fishing, swimming, hiking, and just staying in a beautiful wooded space, it is just the greatest place to be. The area has a lot to do and even a week isn't enough.
- ★★★★★over 4 years agoThis place was amazing! The staff was very friendly, the pontoon worked great and the scenery was so beautiful. The only thing that doesn't allow me to give five stars is that the bathrooms (especially at the south fork) were disgusting. I would much rather hold it than ever go in the south fork bathroom again (there were so many flies and other things flying around and the smell was awful). The north fork bathroom wasn't as bad but it still didn't smell good and had a few things flying around. So, in conclusion, I would recommend this place to anybody... and just remind them to think twice before going into the bathrooms. Keep in mind, there is basically no cell reception. Sometimes you can have a message go/come through, but it's extremely rare and you need a good provider. They do have a phone you can use in at the north fork marina but I'm not sure what all you are allowed to use it for. We forgot a social security number (which you need for a fishing license) and had to call home for it. So make sure to have all information you need.

- ★★★★★over 2 years agoNice quiet lake with limited horsepower. Clean, minimal obtrusion of housing thanks to color and setback regulations. Two convient marinas.
