You'll find fishing is a popular pastime here; catfish are often biting. While there aren't dedicated fishing facilities listed, plenty of people have success. Camping might be available nearby – it's worth checking further for specific details on that.

- ★★★★★over 7 years agoThis was one of two lakes a planned to visit in Kansas last weekend after my trip to Iowa from Kansas City. Time was running short on clear nights so in spite of a lack of sleep, I was Kansas bound. This was the first lake of the two. I tend to specialize in night photos so I was looking for a few features to foreground the stars or night sky. I found some easy views here and it warrants a return visit at some point when the moon is minimal.
- ★★★★★almost 2 years agoWould like more trees close together to Hammock in and I recommend avoiding unpaved areas after heavy rain or snow! Gorgeous at sunset!

- ★★★★★over 3 years agoThis place was very cool. Saw at least 15 types of birds the day we went, including snow geese, pelicans, numerous types of ducks, and a beautiful bald eagle feasting on a duck. Looking forward to taking our kayaks out here, both on the lake and on the river below the damn.
