- ★★★★★almost 4 years agoBeen to Gray Wolf Lake many times. Longest and hardest 10 miles of hiking, but well worth it. Clearest deep lake I have ever seen save Crater Lake. And the lake has large submarines instead of fish. Bear spray is a must. Use the Beaver Creek trail head (from hwy 83), not the res. side.
