Gorgeous! Easy hike to the lake. Sat back on a rock...soaked up the beauty.

Crystal Clear high alpine lake that you can spend the whole day just relaxing and enjoying the scenery. My husband and our two Chocolate Labs, Skye and Summer hiked up from the Green Creek Trail head to both Green Lake and East Lake last week. Total round trip hike was 8.7 miles with an elevation gain of 1,627 feet. Quite a challenge, but worth every blister on our feet! East Lake is a 92 surface acre gem of a lake at an elevation of 9,462 feet above sea level. My husband and our dogs jumped in and took a dip in the chilly and refreshing waters. We had lunch on the northeastern shoreline and we only saw a couple other backpackers camping along the shore. Great day hike and I would definitely recommend.
