Beautiful area that is a reasonable drive for a weekend getaway coming from SLC. Dog friendly spot to get on the water for fishing and water recreation with a nearby campground and public lands for those looking to boondock camp. The drive in was a bit bumpy, I don’t think a high clearance would be necessary but not a bad idea either. Enjoyed the trees surrounding the reservoir vs other areas without it. No amenities after you get off the highway if you’re coming from the south so plan accordingly.

It was infested with biting flies and is not a pretty reservoir, just kind of barren and like so many of Utahs reservoirs. The good news is I had the reservoir to myself and it was a perfect day to take out my Glide O2 Retro. Higher up has some beautiful aspen forests that then mingle into pine for some good dispersed campung.

This is a great golden hidden gem for camping in Utah. A great fish hole or a place for a few back county trails. Better if you have ATVs. The only drawback was there are camp sites that were closer to the water but you can't schedule those, it's a first come first serve basis. Plenty of. spaces to choose from. We will come back here again because it truly is our in the middle of nowhere and you wont have great cell service which is ideal in this crazy world. The staff was very helpful and all of the other campers were very respectful. Just a great place to visit.

Probably one of the best places to go camping and fishing. No big crowds, no Jetskis, no speed boats just a quiet secluded lake high in the mountains and I always seem to catch trout here everytime. The campground has bathrooms, a good boat ramp and beautiful picnic areas but bring your own ice! 😂 just all around great place to bring the kids for camping, 4wheelin and fishing.

The water is amazing. Very clean without algae bloom. Weekday has very few people. We rode our ATVs to in from the strawberry area.
