If you are looking for a great, calm, quiet place to visit in ohio, look no further! There is a so much to do around this 692 acre lake from hiking, fishing, and camping it is sure to be a great time for you and your family! I love taking the kayak out here! The fishing is great most of the time. They have a nice little youth pond, a fishing dock, and a hand launch for kayaks and canoes. Park Rangers visits are few and far between, and the lake does have a power limit, so if you are a kayak or canoe person, you don't have to fight the boats. Some days, it can be a struggle due to wind conditions. The beech is usually pretty clean as well. I would recommend coming out here over Ceasars if you are a novice yaker or canoer. This gem of a lake is sure to have every ingredient you could want for a fun family trip!

Pretty lake and I plan on taking my restored 1948 thistle sailboat there... But the sailing club is kind of standoffish not very useful for beginners asking a few questions about their new to them boat.

Wonderful place to take in all kinds of nature. Lucky to have had the opportunity to visit the water lilies in all stages. The water lilies only grow in water that is 6ft deep or less. Nature was here first, it deserves our respect and understanding.

Lovely lake with grassy, shaded areas. Boats with low horsepower allowed. Very nice sailing, kayaking stand up paddle boarding, fishing and birdwatching. Saw more than 10 kinds of birds including bald Eagle, great blue herons, Turkey vultures. Unfortunate number of geese leaving their droppings everywhere.

Nice lake. It had a beach area with changing rooms, cabins and camping. There were a lot of sail boats on the water today. Rental for pontoon boats, kayaks and canoes. Plenty of hiking paths and fishing areas. The areas were clean and plenty of parking today. The large concentration of Lotus plants were cool.
