Had a great time here. Very uncrowded, didnt see a single person when camping overnight. It is a great begginers backpack spot as it is under a mile in to the lake. You can hike to waldo from here for more milage. There is an amazing echo when you yell into the lake... try it

We were trying to get to Waldo Lake on 25 May, only to find there was a fair amount of snow still on the road. This lake sits at around 5200 feet. We did have other hikers on the trail but it seemed most were hiking to Waldo Lake. We were all alone at Betty Lake. Beautiful clear blue green water, really nice short hike.
